New Instance: Linkgate Foundry

This secret laboratory was used by Tiamat's scientists to make research on transdimensional transportation. After her death, Beritra took over her project, utilizing her findings to create portals for his grand scale invasion on Atreia. However, the side-effects of this science proved to be potentially dangerous. Belsagos, a creature of unknown origin, exited from a portal. Its power may cause not only the destruction of the lab and the research performed, but their recent advancements into the Katalam.

Linkgate Foundry is a solo instance for players of level 65. It was a hidden Balaur research facility where much of the technology used in Beritra's Grand Invasion was developed and perfected. The entrance is located in Katalam.

In this instance, players have 20 minutes to collect keys and slay one of three difficulty versions of the final boss. The boss monster can be challenged anytime, and is not affected by the hidden timer. The difficulty of the final boss and thus its loot depends on the amount of keys gathered (1, 5 or 7).

The instance is a primary source for Ancient Coin (collect 1 key and face the boss in Easy Mode). The amount of Ancient Coin is not really affected by the difficulty of the final boss, although players who collected all 7 keys have a better chance to obtain an Enchantment Stone Bundle, Eternal Ancient Manastone or an Empyrean Plume Chest in addition to the usual spoils.
